Kerry Lakatos-Hayward founded NewEnergyCustomer in 2018, a company specializing in customer experience transformations in the evolving energy sector. Through NewEnergyCustomer, she has provided interim management and consulting services to a battery storage energy company as the VP Investor Relations and Regulatory Affairs.
Kerry is an influential energy and utilities executive with extensive experience in Ontario’s energy and renewables sectors. She has a proven track record of building and leading customer-focused teams that generate bottom-line growth. As a trusted problem-solver known for initiating change while elevating levels of customer service, Kerry is passionate about collaborating with clients to leverage innovative distributed energy resources to create sustainable energy solutions, superior financial performance and customer experiences.
Prior to founding her own firm, Kerry held progressively senior roles at Enbridge Gas Distribution, including most recently Director of Energy Supply & Gas Storage where she had accountability for procurement of $1+B in annual natural gas supply & transportation contracts and the safe, reliable operations of 114 Bcf of natural gas storage. Previously, Kerry was Director of Customer Care where she was accountable for Enbridge’s meter to cash process, including billing, call center and collections services for 2.1 million customers.
Kerry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Science degree in Planning, also from the University of Toronto. She has completed an Executive Program from Queen’s University, A Certificate Program in Corporate Social Responsibility from the New York Institute of Finance and a Certificate Program in Carbon Finance from the University of Toronto.
Kerry is a member of several professional organizations, including the Ontario Energy Association, the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association and the New York Battery & Energy Storage Technology Consortium. Kerry has previously served on fundraising committees with Eva’s Initiatives and is a volunteer with the North York Community House.
